Conclusion
It is clear that there is much to improve in my tennis stroke, this can be achieved by following the correct sub-routine, maximising levers and having the appropriate balance to achieve a powerful and accurate backhand shot. It is clear that my sub-routine is lacking in aspects such as the set-up, but follows a similar rhythm to Novak Djokovic’s' backhand meaning I am creating a good amount of power but can be improved with more topspin and a more fluent motion. It is clear that my levers are not extended to its highest potential meaning a decrease in accuracy and velocity during the shot which can cause the ball to hit the net. Balance is another important factor when hitting a successful backhand, with a low centre of gravity, and a wide base of support, it will affect your stability in a positive way contributing to giving the shot greater velocity and accuracy in a game. Furthermore, it is clear that my shot can be improved in some aspects to have a more powerful and accurate backhand shot.
